Overview
For those in pursuit of sun, sand and sea, Antigua is a perfect destination. With its fabulous beaches, upscale resorts, watersports and regattas, fine food and nightlife, it attracts visitors year-round. Only 108 square miles in area, Antigua's jagged coastline creates hundreds of bays, inlets and beaches to explore. Serene Barbuda, its smaller sister, is just as lovely (but is still recovering from hurricane damage in 2017).

The Antigua Black pineapple is legendary for its flavour and sweetness – be sure to try it. And local fruits – not only pineapple but coconut, guava, mango, tamarind – make wonderfully refreshing fresh juices.

Ducana is another Antiguan delicacy: it's made with grated sweet potatoes seasoned with pumpkin, coconut and cinnamon.
